eah Peterson is a Minneapolis-based Makeup Artist, working on photoshoots, weddings, television and feature film production, runways, commercials, and product consulting.
Sneaking away to the bathroom to rifle through her mom’s Avon stash and her older sister's Wet N Wild electric blue eyeliner began Leah’s creative outlet for beauty. Seeing how powerful makeup can be inspired her to begin her career as an artist.
MY EDUCATION
A good face starts with great skin. Knowing that, Leah began her education at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, receiving her License as an Esthetician. She then headed west to learn all the fundamentals of Makeup Artistry at the Make-Up Designory in Los Angeles, CA.
MY CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Leah has been working as a makeup artist for over 18 years on various projects throughout Minnesota, California and Canada. She has worked on commercials, films, live television, runway shows, print media, bridal, and group parties.
Early in her career, Leah was a top go-to facialist and brow artist in the Minneapolis area. She worked at the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon where she began doing bridal makeup. After attending MUD in California and getting her feet wet in film and commercial work, she returned to Minneapolis to continue her work in the industry. She expanded her skills and experience through Bobbi Brown Cosmetics before starting her own freelance makeup company.
Productions she has worked with include TV Pilots, Netflix, HBO, CNN, Fox, NFL, Food Network, Google, Inside Edition, TV One and the Golf Channel.
